Great bike - hiker 30A

I received the hiker 2 weeks ago and I love it. Easy to assemble. Once the battery was full, I took it for a ride, very impress with the power. I am sure I will apreciate this bike for many years to come, thanks Tesgo

Great bike so far!

I received my bike last week. The purchase process was easy, but all my accessories (bag, basket) were not included. It was a separate shipment. One after one of them is still missing, but I received a notification that it was shipped.

THE BAD (scroll down, the GOOD is coming):

One part of the bike was missing: the metal piece that ties the mudguard to the front wheel. I am told it is shipped, so we'll see how it goes. Luckily it is not essential so I could use my bike from day one!

Support is a bit slow, and no phone support at all: only by email as the online chat is just a front-end to email communications. It is a bit of a bummer as a simple request took two days where a phone call could have fixed my issue (the missing piece) in minutes.

Welding on the bike seems a bit amateurish. But the funny thing, this bike looks mean! So, it kind of fits the overall look of the bike.

This bike is supposed to come with a smart app. I didn't see any mention of it anywhere. I emailed support for more information; I will update this review when I know more about it.

All the indications on the bike's display are in Imperial system. I kind of know what a mile is in kilometers, but I am Canadian, and I live in a country where King's chest measurements from hundreds of years ago don’t affect how we calculate distances. The display is sometimes hard to read during very bright days, but overall, it is good.

THE GOOD:

Setup is relatively easy, but don't lose your time using the manual: use the video on the site and you will be good to go in two hours or less.

I loved it the moment I tried it. It looks mean, it goes fast. It is my first ebike, I am not sure my opinion matters much but life is good on this bike. And it has that K2000 sound that makes it sound cool (yes, a Knight Rider reference for older people).

Controls are very intuitive. There is a control section with clearly labeled functions. Information about rides, speed settings are easy to use.

Brakes are very responsive, as expected on any regular bike. I can go from full speed to full stop in a few meters. I feel safe going fast on a street.
Front lights and rear lights are very bright, I can see clearly at night.
I have been riding a lot and I reached 100 miles (160 kilometers) on my first charge. Two bars left on the battery (out of five). I will try to empty it tomorrow and see how far it goes on a single charge. I am already planning to buy a second battery when they are available to go very long distances with this great bike. It looks like I will reach 200 kilometers on a single charge. A second battery should bring me close to 400 kilometers. As a side-node, the battery is HUGE, bigger than an XBOX, but it is placed under the seat, and you really forget about it. I didn’t believe the claims on the web site about the distances on a single charge and I am very glad to be proven wrong. I live 50 kilometers from work, and I will definitely go to work on this bike when weather permits.

It is fast, very fast for a bike. I could reach 47 kilometers per hour. Not bad at all!

It is very comfortable; the chocks work so well. Bumps and holes on the streets don’t t scare me at all.

It is quite a looker too, I parked it next to other bikes at grocery and fell in love with it even more! So extra point for vanity!

WHAT I DON'T KNOW:

Durability: I received it last week; it didn't go through the test of time.

Phone charging: the bike comes with a USB port to charge my phone while riding. I didn't try it yet. But I will soon as I ordered a Quad Lock system to use my phone as a GPS for those upcoming longer trips.

Stay tuned for more. As soon as I can get a second battery, I will make longer trips and fully test this bike.

Great ride that saves a tremendous amount of gas wonderful

Everything has turned out really good except for one thing, the large basket is very poorly made the welding on it is awful. Somehow we will try to fix it up. This is so frustrating and that it took so long to be delivered.
